After months of whispering and rumors, Google has finally released the plus one (+1) button, an attempt of socializing web searches by letting people vote-up the sites and contents that they consider valuable, these votes will make an influence over their friends’ searches, giving them a hint over which sites they should be visiting right now.
As a contribution to this new Google feature, our friends at IconShock have released an amazing set of free Google +1 icons ready for download and be implemented on your website. How to implement Google +1 in WordPress
The +1 button is currently available for all English searches and since the past couple of days, it can also be implemented on websites. Thanks for the reply, but that’s not what I asked for. What I mean, is if is possible to change the icon in the script code for the button… because in all the sites where is it, has the same icon (google reglamentary)

Oh we see. Well it’s not like the icon must be that one you see. What happens is that it comes by default and changing it requires for you to put your hands inside the oven, which is something that we personally haven’t tried…

I wonder if it also has a dislike feature which is frequently abused for example on YouTube. I understand that any rating counts for more than no rating but rating with the intention to do harm rather than good to someone is pathetic.
We will try to get as much as +1 we can because we know the benefit of it with seo prespective (and soon we will see many people started to sell +1 as well) but a normal user do not know about it and where facebook like button is one step ahead from it.
