Have you ever had to deliver a website and you get the feeling you have no ideas left? Time runs out and you’ve searched everywhere to get ideas for this project? Well, we’ve been there, and that’s not great. So we decided to search for websites which were beautifully designed and, as you know, the best way to do this is by looking into galleries. Then we say “Why don’t we organize a full range of categories within each gallery?” So we did, and now we like to present to you 40 awesome galleries with categorized websites featuring the coolest minimal, colorful, animated, business, ecommerce, entertainment, kids, retro, illustration, cartoon and typography websites we found. So let’s get inspired! every image has a link to the website so don’t hesitate to check it!

Gallery 1: Styles Inspiration

Styles Inspiration is a quite easy to navigate website gallery. It has a minimal style and filtered categories like Awesome, Blogs, Business, Minimal, Illustration, Retro, Vector and many others so you can go and look directly what type of websites you need to get inspired. It also has a search option and the possibility to submit your website. You can receive updates via RSS to check it when new websites are included and find them on Facebook and Twitter.

Gallery 2: Creattica

The famous Creattica has a reason to be that famous. It has an amazing collection of design resources including freebies like templates, brushes, fonts, icons, PSDs, wallpapers and of course, websites for inspiration. The best part: it is updated constantly. You can find them on Facebook and Twitter. Creattica also has the registration possibility so you can check the stuff you’ve liked over time.

Unmatched Style, a very organized gallery displays a featured website, there because of the votes of other users. It has a podcasts section on the left side with videos to help you design better. bellow that it has a news section showing recent updates on web design. There’s also a showcase page displaying the best websites for inspiration and you can recomend your site.

Gallery 4: FullSingle

Full Single displays a minimalist interface, which make it kind of cool, but it does not have a search option or a way to categorize websites, making it not that easy to navigate. The only way to do this is by looking the archive. One quality feature though, it is constantly updated.

Gallery 5: Strange Fruits

Strange Fruits is a minimal gallerie with a cool feature: you can sort websites according to a range of colors. In the page style you can limit your filter even more your search by selecting categories, colors and countries. For example, you can select a design portfolio, which is white-black and that’s been created in the US, and you’ll get just that. You can also register and like websites, which are stored on your account for you to check them anytime.

Gallery 6: Design Shack

With Design Shack displays more than 3.680 websites, more than 550 brand logos and almost 550 interface design elements. You can sort websites by color, but in addition, you have the options to filter websites by layout or category. When you click on a design, it will show you more info about the creator and the design, showing three different previews of the image and a rating by other users. Quite nice!

Designfridge is an awesome gallery with three basic parts: Articles, Inspiration and resources, and very easy to search and showcasing almost 6000 sites. You can opt to visit the website from the thumbnail, or select the tags below it to get a view of other sites like it. You can also filter the websites by style. Make Better Websites has the special characteristic it shows a full display of the website for you to get a better picture of it. It has an submit form and a showcase of the 30 most cool websites of the gallery. You can also register, follow their updates via rss, follow them on Twitter and Facebook. It is updated constantly.

The Best Designs is a blog showcasing greatly designed websites. It shines because of its design and the easiness of navigation. On the home page you have a preview of the websites and buttons over them to get more details and visit the website directly. The submit form ask you more than you expect but in the end, this contributes to have better sites listed.

HTML5 Awesome shows, as it name indicates, a high amount of website designed with HTML5. It also has the option for the users to rate the websites. They post featured sites, but those are rated not by likes, as it should be. However, the websites have great quality. Web Creme has been featured in many blogs although it doesn’t have a great design and an easy navigation. This is mainly because it shows really cool websites and it is updated every day with almost 5 new designs. It features more tan 1.500 websites. You can suggest a website through their contact form.

Gallery 12: Best Web Gallery

Best Web Gallery allows you to submit Websites, portfolios and web resources. The thumbnail preview of every website has the option to include a comment, to preview it with more detail within the same gallery and the last option to go to the website. It features awesomely designed websites and blogs and has a page displaying the top 20 sites, rated by the community.

This inspirational gallery showcases high quality CSS and flash websites. As other galleries, this has a submit form, and in addition, a registering option. The gallery have more than 360 websites listed. You can follow them on Twitter.
